I had a Dream: Obama to fight legal battle for Bhopal / Anderson victims

I had a dream…: (this is not a parody of a vision statement, a real dream, due to the remix mock-tail of information in the kaleidoscope of my subconscious…) Last night I was surfing through news channels, · Obama’s butt search for Oil spill root causers · A documentary on Alzheimer’s disease for Octanegrians ( 80+ dudes) · India waking up to missing Anderson’s butt, etc · In between repeated adverts of and a Cisko Teleprensese human network, · Repeated adverts of ‘Bingo spicy potato chips’ · Janitor’s tools and Clorex floor cleaning… · Msg on blackberry : reminder: fill sharp owl time sheet tommorow Woke up to a rather usual morning… The dream screamed headlines like this: All news TV channels, soaring with TRP…the news… “President Obama decides to adore black gown again…fight for justice for Bhopal victims, off camp David, … Having understood and moved by the sheer volume of tragedy … who else can understand better than the former community service expert… And the justice delayed and...

Of human height, achievements, Power and SUVs

A very vague seemingly incoherent title, I noticed a natural yet interesting correlation between one’s physical height and height of one’s achievements. Perhaps in their childhood, and adolescence their ability to take jokes on (at the expense of their relative height) by their immediate friends (Arey Chotte, Gidda! in urdu/Hindi…) makes their grit emotionally stronger than rest around. During their formation years the fact their peers take them in a lighter vein perhaps, moulds their personalities into bigger and stronger beings. Please notice I am trying to see the constructive side of the side effect on the psyche of the subject, the side effect could be constructive or destructive (depressing or in that lines) Hope I am not crossing the line and trying to sound professional psychiatrist presenting his paper in a convention… Also such persons take it in a lighter vein if someone in their immediate known circles call them ‘smally’…but if the same joke is cracked by a relatively unkn...

Violation of Alferd Nobel's Will

While the people in high places, other govt. offices have no choice but to congratulate and add some rosy words to the President and Supreme Commander of Armed forces of USA...the certified intellectuals of the world should get some fodder out of this Obama being conferred Peace Nobel....I was reminded of the Hindi adage (which translates to ...the one with stick drives home the buffaloe... jiski haathme lathi bhains vo le jayega .) It's like tabloids selling 'celeb' merchandise...for a sceintist it takes a life time to prove his invention and stand by the test of fire and Time...but for a powerful guy it's like a pizza, delivered even before it is ordered... It sounds like a cheap publicity stunt by the Nobel committee and invokes the need of reviewing their credentials to do that job. It’s like my promising kid hopes to become a cardiologist in future and save lives, give me a loan based on his future income…will banks ever do it? Or is it the influence or hangover of...

Truth behind Satyam

I missed an ‘opportunity’ to see Ramalingaraju in person, when I was in Cisco, last year where he received from John Chambers a ‘package of support worth $100 million’ for EMRI he initiated, I even bought a new blazer to attend the Cisco Campus inauguration, by revered former (my kind of president) Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. But small time employees of my stature were whisked away from attending in person due to ‘security reasons’ and invited to see the event only on homegrown Cisco IPTV. No use of the new blazer. Despite such parallel processing(scheming) in mind since ‘several years’ the good thing is that he kept (had to, kind of atonement?) the EMRI kept going, the first 911 equivalent. He should be acknowledged to have dared to dream such a project in India. I was driving past a remote village towards Jiddu Krishnamurthy school 150 miles away from Bangalore, in a rest area, I saw huge ambulance parked and bunch of lads hanging around, we stopped there for tea break. The peasants said th...

Mu-Barack to Obama (congrats in Arabic)

Mu-Barack Obama (mubarack in Arabic is congratulations) With his proximity to problems and ability to comprehend them Obama just fits the bill. ...to be seen are his leadership abilities to steer the machinery running in a direction that will tend to solve the problems he perceived..... This is a victory to be cherished by the subjects of all the democracies across the world(s). Obama’s election restated Lincoln’s dictum: Democracy is for the people, of the people but to be run by the deserving meritorious from among that people…meritocracy…leave nation-running to professionals…you are in the safe hands for the meritorious with compassion at heart. A leader who won the hearts and appealed to brains at the same time. Leading a disciplined army is different from managing a pub with dancers(amateur/ skilled), and bouncers...a vibrant democracy is more akin to the latter. People dancing on the same level floor in various degrees of intoxications (of ideologies), hues (of makeup)...
